Call for Immediate Help

If you are concerned about your safety, call the Harvard University Police Department at 617-495-1212 (Cambridge) or 617-432-1212 (Longwood). An officer can also transport you to the medical facility of your choice, whether or not you decide to file a report. 

You can contact the Office of Sexual Assault Prevention & Response 24/7 confidential hotline at 617-495-9100 for additional supports, and to ask a staff member to accompany you to a medical facility.

If you are traveling internationally, call Harvard Travel Assist at +1-617-998-0000 for 24/7 access to medical and security services, including in-person counseling referrals and emergency assistance.


Campus Escort Program

Campus Escort Program 
Service covers the Cambridge campus including the Yard, River, Quad, and North Yard areas.
Walking escorts are available nightly:
Sunday to Wednesday 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Thursday to Saturday10:30 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Full service available during the academic year. 

Shuttle Bus Service

Shuttle Bus Service
Bus service throughout the Cambridge and Allston campuses:
Monday to Thursday 5:15 a.m. to 3:50 a.m.
Friday 5:15 a.m. to 4:50 a.m.
Saturday 8:15 a.m. to 4:50 a.m.
Sunday 8:15 to 3:50 a.m.
Full service available during the academic year.
Reduced service available on University recognized holidays, semester breaks, and summer.

Evening Van Service

A supplement to the shuttle bus service.
Van service available nightly:
Monday to Sunday 7 p.m. and 3 a.m.
Last call for a ride by 2:30 a.m. 
Full service available during the academic year (except University recognized holidays and semester breaks). 
After Commencement until freshman move-in week:
Monday to Sunday 7p.m. to 12 a.m.
Last call for a ride by 11:30 p.m.

Seek Supports

TItle IXTo talk with a trained counselor who can provide emotional support and experienced guidance, contact the Office of Sexual Assault Prevention & Response.

You can speak with a specially trained Title IX Coordinator who is ready to help you with interim measures, such as housing, workplace, or academic adjustments, and can connect you to counseling and other supports.

Your coordinator — or staff from the Office for Dispute Resolution — can help explain your options for informal resolution or for a formal complaint.




Title IXConfidentiality

Some channels, such as the Office of Sexual Assault Prevention & Response, offer confidentiality: We only share information you disclose at your request. Others, such as a Title IX Coordinator, control information you share with the utmost sensitivity, but may, in limited circumstances, need to take action, for example, to address an ongoing threat or to maintain your safety.
